Safari at Minneriya National Park

Minneriya National Park is located in the North Central Province of Sri Lanka, near the ancient city of Polonnaruwa. The park is renowned for its incredible wildlife, particularly its large elephant herds and diverse ecosystem.

• The park is famous for “The Gathering,” one of the world’s most impressive elephant congregations
• During the dry season (July to September), up to 300-400 elephants gather around the Minneriya Tank (reservoir)
• This is considered one of the largest seasonal elephant assemblies in Asia
