Tour Itinerary

Yala National Park is the second largest and most visited national safari park in Sri Lanka and it is home to a wide variety of wildlife. It combines a strict nature reserve with a national park. Yala National Park is located in the southeast of Sri Lanka in both the south and Uva provinces, hugging the scenic Indian Ocean. This park has an area of nearly 130,000 hectares. Yala National Park consists of light forests, grasslands, tanks, and lagoons.

Yala is famous for its rich biodiversity, including numerous species of mammals, birds, reptiles, and amphibians. Apart from the elusive Sri Lankan leopard, visitors can spot elephants, sloth bears, water buffalo, crocodiles, and a wide array of bird species such as peacocks, hornbills, and eagles.

Yala boasts a varied landscape, including dense forests, grasslands, lagoons, and rocky outcrops. The scenery is both rugged and beautiful, providing a stunning backdrop for wildlife viewing.
